If don't create your reality, your reality will create you

Webcast Week #41

Last Sunday’s show was a joy. Thanks to all who joined us for another segment of JK Rowling’s commencement speech at Harvard, Bill Moyer’s interviewing the late and epic Howard Zinn, the Dolphins and the bubbles, a plug for action regarding General Mills and a music video plug from us to “Call Your Senators” about financial reform this week. We sang a new song about a soldier going off to war (yet unnamed), an older song from the original Holy Road album called “Waiting For A Sign”, and our own version of “Amazing Grace”. It was great to see everyone and we welcome all the new comers with big virtual hugs. Someone posted on the board that night, “small acts when multiplied by millions of people can transform the world.”- Howard Zinn…and so, this little weekly web-cast is our small act multiplied by you at home as we all bun-dance, give thanks and taking action to create our collective reality on Sunday evenings, reminding each other to celebrate and protect this abundant life.

Creating y*Our Reality Tip:

Sometimes we need to keep track of our “vehicle” in order to better create the reallity of our dreams. One way to do this is to keep track of what we eat. For example, it has served me well in certain periods of my life to write down every single thing I eat for a few months, just to keep my vehicle from running away with me or driving me into madness. (In fact, I lost 20 pounds last Summer by doing that-along with other things like juice cleansing my vehicle, cutting out sugar for my vehicle, cutting down on whites and upping my vehicle’s exercise regiment.) Another thing this tool is useful for is “Now Management”. For example, there have been periods of my life where it was very useful for me to write down exactly how I spent every single hour for a week or a month, just to honestly look at whether I am wasting my time. (as Benjamin Franklin says, “dos though love life, then do not squander time, for that is the stuff that life is made of.”) This technique also works well for managing money. By writing down every cent we spend, we can force ourselves to look at what is necessary vs. what is indulgent. Whether it be food, time or dollars, “keeping track of our vehicles” can assist us in creating our reality as we truly wish it to be. Good luck! It’s not easy but it can be really really helpful.
