Webcast Week #43

02 24th, 2010

Those of you who tuned in to last week know how frustrating watching the Valentine’s special was! Our guest was such a treat to have on air but the freezing and choppiness were too much of drag for anyone to enjoy him!! The technical problems came totally out of the blue and we were baffled.

So….as a result of last Sunday’s technical fiasco, we will be airing this Sunday’s show with a new web-casting program we’re trying out. Please join us if you can and let us know how it works, looks, sounds and feels. Onward with the bun-dance and until Sunday, Holy Now…

Webcast Week #42

02 10th, 2010

Well, even though… Baba was sick with a nasty cold and couldn’t sing, we were competing with the Super Bowl, and we chose to show one too many videos about suffering on this program about Abundance, it was still a deeply moving online gathering and we are so thankful to have shared it with you. Allan Watts lifted out spirits with a piece about Music and Life, JK Rowling continued to inspire us with her commencement speech at Harvard, the piece about chocolate alerted us to what we shouldn’t buy for Valentine’s Day, the piece about one woman who changed so many other women’s lives in the Congo proved what a difference one person really can make, the sneezing Panda made us giggle, and Charlie Bit My Finger made us downright laugh! We performed “Tin Drum” and “Starfish Lullaby” and did the bun-dance with you across the country…may this weekend be full of love, romance or not and we’ll look forward to celebrating Valentine’s Day with you on Sunday.

Creating y*Our Reality Tip:

This week’s tip is straight and simple but not necessarily easy, so really try to do it with a full and faithful heart… Think it. Speak it. Write it. Do it. Take these four steps regarding anything you want to manifest and watch your dream unfold into your beloved life. And don’t forget, don’t let your vehicle drive you into madness…happy reality creating!

Webcast Week #41

02 3rd, 2010

Last Sunday’s show was a joy. Thanks to all who joined us for another segment of JK Rowling’s commencement speech at Harvard, Bill Moyer’s interviewing the late and epic Howard Zinn, the Dolphins and the bubbles, a plug for action regarding General Mills and a music video plug from us to “Call Your Senators” about financial reform this week. We sang a new song about a soldier going off to war (yet unnamed), an older song from the original Holy Road album called “Waiting For A Sign”, and our own version of “Amazing Grace”. It was great to see everyone and we welcome all the new comers with big virtual hugs. Someone posted on the board that night, “small acts when multiplied by millions of people can transform the world.”- Howard Zinn…and so, this little weekly web-cast is our small act multiplied by you at home as we all bun-dance, give thanks and taking action to create our collective reality on Sunday evenings, reminding each other to celebrate and protect this abundant life.

Creating y*Our Reality Tip:

Sometimes we need to keep track of our “vehicle” in order to better create the reallity of our dreams. One way to do this is to keep track of what we eat. For example, it has served me well in certain periods of my life to write down every single thing I eat for a few months, just to keep my vehicle from running away with me or driving me into madness. (In fact, I lost 20 pounds last Summer by doing that-along with other things like juice cleansing my vehicle, cutting out sugar for my vehicle, cutting down on whites and upping my vehicle’s exercise regiment.) Another thing this tool is useful for is “Now Management”. For example, there have been periods of my life where it was very useful for me to write down exactly how I spent every single hour for a week or a month, just to honestly look at whether I am wasting my time. (as Benjamin Franklin says, “dos though love life, then do not squander time, for that is the stuff that life is made of.”) This technique also works well for managing money. By writing down every cent we spend, we can force ourselves to look at what is necessary vs. what is indulgent. Whether it be food, time or dollars, “keeping track of our vehicles” can assist us in creating our reality as we truly wish it to be. Good luck! It’s not easy but it can be really really helpful.

Webcast Week #40

01 20th, 2010

After taking over a month off from This Abundant Life to travel home from Colorado, stopping to visit family for the holidays in Wisconsin, we are more appreciative than ever of this wonderful online community we have built. Thank you to everyone who tuned in last week. This past Sunday was a really special gathering. We welcomed our new friends with open arms and embraced our long time contributors with deep gratitude for their consistent support. We sang Holy Road, Hallelujah and King Corn, ate Baba’s left over birthday cake, told you our “words of the year” and shared some of the Christmas Presents like Nina’s maternity dress, Hilly’s “If Mama ain’t happy, nobody’s happy” apron, Catherine and Jim’s baby books, and Joe’s “Pacifist” Baby outfit. The videos were full of prophets like Martin Luther King Jr. and Bob Marley. We showed my growing belly, did the bun in the oven bun dance, and gave thanks for all our blessings. What a celebration!

Creating y*Our Reality Tip:

Five minutes a day at least. We need to remember how much of a difference five minutes can make. If we can do it for ten, fifteen or more, wonderful, but at least commit to five minutes of focused inward loving, deep breathing, surrender, gratitude and intentional imagining. When we wake up in the morning or before bed, in a quiet space, light a candle and give thanks for the past, the present and the future and ask that we stay awake inside this long dream while sending our support and affection out into the world. If we give the Source of life at least five minutes out of our busy day, the Source will surely flow more easily throughout our lives.

We won’t be with you this Sunday but we’ll be back on January 31st and can’t wait to gather by the fire again then.

Webcast Week #38

12 9th, 2009

Week 38 was our most exciting and memorable yet. It was a great crowd. Thanks to everyone who tuned in to hear our good news. We started by singing “The Day We Met”, then we showed you a video of Lucy and Ricky announcing our new baby!! We toasted wiith egg nog (non alcoholic), we performed a brand new song I-Lizzie-just wrote for Baba and the Baby, and then we all had a good laugh at the dads changing diapers video. Baba came back to tell us about his trip to Venezuela and he showed us more of the 60 Minutes piece on El Sistema. We went on to watch The Story Of Cap and Trade (sent in by Darcy). Wangari Maathai told us about the miracle of planting trees and then we sang “Starfish Lullaby.” We created reality, bundanced and gave thanks around the country. So much to celebrate…until this coming Sunday, keep shining on all you meet and shaking those buns. Holy Now…

This week’s tip is something I’ve been meaning to say for 38 weeks…Gratitude is the key. If we say Thank You as often as we can, every day, for everything we are grateful for, it will change our lives (it has changed mine into bliss). Gratitude is the fastest, easiest way to put everything in perspective, get our vehicle to behave and bring more goodness into our realm. So get your thank yous on and spread the message to all you love, thank you, thank you, thank you.
